This project translates Adobe's personality test, Adobe Creative Types into a cast of shape-built characters that are formless and expansive, representing the endless creative potential that Adobe tools and software create.
Each character stacks two transparent printed sheets into a single figure, turning the idea of a "digital layer" into something a person can hold, separate, and shuffle by hand.

Each character stacks two transparent printed sheets into a single figure, turning the idea of a "digital layer" into something a person can hold, separate, and shuffle by hand.
Every character follows a shared formula of gridded shapes and swappable features, so the system stays consistent even as each card keeps its own identity. The underlying grid also nods to the pixel structure of digital design.
The swappable layers invite collaboration, letting people exchange and remix features across characters. Each combination becomes a shared act of making.

Each character is built from a shared cubic grid using repeating shapes, facial variations, and personality-specific symbols. Monochromatic palettes and remixed elements give each character its own identity while keeping them all in one consistent visual system.

Each character is split across two transparent sheets, turning digital layers into a physical format. The layers can be swapped and recombined across Creative Types, using transparency to represent both Adobe’s digital tools and creative collaboration.

Designed for Adobe MAX, the slim sleeve keeps all eight cards compact and easy to carry throughout the conference. The corner ring keeps the set together while still allowing the cards to be removed, rearranged, and explored individually.
